It all started back in 1999 (clarify year), when Julie and her husband decided to moved to the UK. Julie’s husband just got a fantastic opportunity to work overseas. Little did she know, that their little adventure would lead her to her true calling in life.
Julie had a lot of down time when they first moved. Their family and friends were all back across the pond. So, she decided to pick up a hobby. She had always had an eye for unique, vintage pieces and loved to shop...so Julie settled on antique shopping.
With the goal in mind, she began traveling from local store to local store seeking out unique, one of kind antique and vintage pieces. In no time, Julie became a pro.
Years passed and she continued to explore the entire country searching and collecting unique antique pieces that included everything from furniture to picture frames.
The Start of the Store
Eight years and two 40 foot containers later, Brimfield was created. Julie and her husband decided to move back to the U.S. With the amount of antiques Julie had collected over the years, she decided to turn her passion into a business.
The Andersonville neighborhood was a natural fit for the location of the store with all the history and uniqueness. It only made sense to plant the roots of Brimfield.
For the last eight wonderful years, Brimfield has evolved into more than just an antique furniture store. Brimfield is about providing their customers with unique, one of a kind pieces. It ranges from small home decor items all the way to custom 150 year old reclaimed wood dining room tables.
There is something for everyone, as long as you want a piece that is unique.
So, don’t take our word for it, come in and let us help you.
